IPNHK 香港国际诗歌节 (International Poetry Nights in Hong Kong) 由当代著名诗人、中国语言文学系教授北岛先生于 2009 年创办,是华语地区最具影响力的文化活动之一。它涉及诗歌角色、对人性的充分信仰、文化与艺术的全球视角。作为诗歌艺术的创造性节目,IPNHK 吸引不同地区的诗人和艺术家,展示诗意生活在不断变化的世界中的重要性,以此鼓舞一个可能面临文化风险的未来。
 

International Poetry Nights in Hong Kong (IPNHK), founded in 2009 by Bei Dao, a renowned contemporary poet and professor of Chinese Language and Literature, is one of the most influential cultural events in the Sinophone region. It deals with the role of poetry, full faith in humanity, and global perspectives on culture and art. As a creative program in the art of poetry, IPNHK attracts poets and artists from different regions to demonstrate the importance of poetic living in an ever-changing world as a way to inspire a future that may be at cultural risk.

Bei Dao, the representative poet of the Misty Poetry School, founder of the Hong Kong International Poetry Festival; Diana Bellessi, argentina’s national poet, the godmother of feminist / LGBTQI+ / Lesbian poetry; Adonis, the perennial contender for the Nobel Prize in Literature, the greatest living poet of the Arab world.

历届参与者包括阿拉伯世界最重要的在世诗人阿多尼斯 (Adonis)、阿根廷国宝级诗人戴安娜·贝莱西 (Diana Bellesi) 等。受邀诗人在在香港、上海、深圳、南京、秦皇岛五座城市中进行朗诵、研讨会、公共讲座等一系列活动,通过他们的语言和创造性手势,唤醒在世界各地分离的精神共同体。
 

Past participants have included Adonis, one of the Arab world’s most important living poets, and Diana Bellesi, a national treasure of Argentina. The invited poets conduct a series of readings, workshops, and public lectures in five cities: Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Nanjing, and Qinhuangdao, where they use their words and creative gestures to awaken spiritual communities that are separated around the world.

自2017年始,由当代实验音乐家李劲松先生 (Dickson Dee) 担任 IPNHK 音乐总监,为诗歌节注入重要的先锋力量,促进了诗歌与声音艺术的跨界融合。李劲松先生将即兴元素作为声音艺术的有机标志,旨在激发诗人、音乐家以及现场艺术家内在的情感互动。这种即兴碰撞改变了表演性质,为诗歌节目带来了全新的艺术可能性。
 

Dickson Dee, a contemporary experimental musician, has been the Music Director of IPNHK since 2017, injecting an important pioneering force into the festival and promoting the cross-border fusion of poetry and sound art. Mr. Dickson uses the element of improvisation as an organic hallmark of sound art, aiming to stimulate inherent emotional interaction between poets, musicians and on-site artists. This improvisational collision changes the nature of performance and brings new artistic possibilities to poetry programs.

The Mother Tongue Map And The Perpetual River Of Poetry

2024 年 IPNHK 迎来关键的 15 周年庆典,标志着后疫情世界的重要恢复和连接性,在这一里程中,传统的延续和创造新形象同样重要。此次活动以“母语的边界 (The Margins of The Mother Tongue)” 为主题,2M2 设计团队受邀为其创造新形象。

基于活动背景,2M2设计团队以“母语版图”为创作概念,将诗人、艺术家名列排布在由经纬线定格的潜在地图,背景中,文字诗句构成永续的诗歌洋流。这是2024 IPNHK 标志性的视觉图像,“母语版图”不仅隐喻母语身份的区别,也指不同语言的同代并置关系。这一设定对本届主题进行了文学回应,另一方面,消失的区位边界表征着文化共同体的身份——诗歌创作作为全人类共同资产所具备的人性力量。
 

Based on the background of the event, 2M2 DESIGN team created the concept of “Mother Tongue Map”, where the names of the poets and artists are arranged on a potential map framed by lines of latitude and longitude, and in the background, the words and verses of the poems form an everlasting poetic current. This is the iconic visual image of 2024 IPNHK. ‘Mother Tongue Map’ is not only a metaphor for the distinction of mother tongue identity, but also refers to the intergenerational juxtaposition of different languages. This setting is a literary response to the theme of this year’s event, while on the other hand, the disappearing boundaries of the region symbolise the identity of the cultural community – the human power of poetic creativity as a common asset of all human beings.

在观念先行的学科倡议下,该团队还致力于创新和富有活力的视觉系统,在各个接触点中建立诗意形象。
 

In a concept-first disciplinary initiative, the team also worked on an innovative and dynamic visual system that builds poetic imagery across all touchpoints.
